From end July, some of you would’ve started to have some issues with the Get Card. As we shared in an push notification before, you might not have been able to:
This happened because our card issuer and Get had paused our partnership for commercial discussions for the time being.
As Get is not its own card issuer, we’re dependent on our 3rd party partner to issue the Get prepaid Visa cards to our users and ensure the cards are connected to the Visa network for our users to purchase items. While we can’t issue cards, we manage our own card program which includes card design, card transaction controls and customer service.
We know that when it comes to your money, problems of any kind are totally unacceptable. We're really sorry about this, and we're working together with our partner to resolve this issue.
The commercial discussion is taking longer than expected. We’re undergoing rounds of back and forth discussion both internally within Get and external with our partner, to make sure our partnership is commercially viable and we can continue to provide the Get card service to our user sustainably.
Again, we’re really sorry about this. Being trusted with your money is a big responsibility, and it’s one we take very seriously. We will provide you with more updates when it comes, and share a detailed review of what happened and what we’re doing to make sure it doesn’t happen again once everything is settled.
