What Is Run Command?

Almost all the Windows XP Users will know Windows Run Command in the Start menu. Windows Run Command is a very useful tool to launch a windows application/service or access to document that path is known. In short, Windows Run Command is a single line command line which actually can save a lot of time to perform your daily tasks.

How To Run Command?

There are two ways to open Windows Run Command; one is via Start Menu as shown below or using shortcut key (Windows Key + R)

Many people do not utilize Windows XP Run Commands service because they don’t know the command lines. Some people claimed that they can access through all Windows Services via Control Panel and Task Manager. Anyway, if you know some of these useful Run Commands, I believe you can perform your work faster and more efficient than those people who do not know command lines. For example, you can easily type “mstsc” command to launch remote desktop service.

However, I’m quite disappointed with Windows Vista and Windows 7 because Run Command does not appear directly on the Start Menu anymore. However, you can still type ‘run’ on Windows Search box to launch Windows Run Command.

7. Launch your internet browser again and start browsing as usual. I hope this simple method will improve Internet connection.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (Beta) is available on Microsoft TechNet website. However, the win7 sp1 is not available for home users because it does not provide new end-user features but more useful to the organizations to improve Windows Operating System’s services such as newly added feature called RemoteFX where you are able to use Remote Desktop Services platform to deploy a virtual machine. It will provide an easier Service Pack deployment environment for better IT efficiency.

In my opinion, this is a Beta version of Windows 7 and it will expire on June 30, 2011 which I would not recommend you to install because of the risks. If you really want to install it, make sure you have made proper backups to avoid the risks of installation. You need to uninstall any previous beta versions before installing this new Windows 7 Service Pack 1.
