VLC Media Player is my favorite video player for all types of audio and video formats even for the DVDs or VCDs. VLC Media Player is a free open source software which can be downloaded for free and once you installed VLC Player in your PC or Notebook, you do not need to install external video codec or video players anymore because VLC helps you to play most of the types of audio and videos.

For your info, VLC can be used as a server to stream in unicast or multicast in IPv4 or IPv6 on a high bandwidth network.
